Saturday Home Showcase - Martha Stewart

If you are here looking to enter my GIVEAWAY for OVER $100 of our products please Click Here to enter to win!

Now to the Saturday Home Showcase.  This Saturday I wanted to showcase the home of someone whose magazines I've read and shows I've watched since I was a young teenager  - Martha Stewart.

Martha has a few different homes and you can see tours of all of them at http://www.marthastewart.com/ - On her website you can also read her blog which I check regularly to learn about her gardens and projects and other things that often inspire me to work on my own home.

I love how she keeps all these cooking utensils out and handy in multiple containers that are all different but still tie together because they are the same color.

Love that these bar stools are different sizes - I like the interesting look it creates.

This is actually a vintage Dentrist medical tool case!  It looks so cool with the crystal knobs.  This is from an old appartment of Martha's in New York City.

This is Martha's fabuous craft room in one of her homes - it would be my dream to have a craft room like this in home.
LOVE these plants and Martha's beautiful cat!

Is this a beautiful garden or what?  Of course you would expect nothing less from Martha's garden.

Coming up over the next couple days I will share some projects and tutorials for things I've been working on for Valentine's Day.

Food Friday - Reese's Banana & Rolled Eggs

First, if you are here looking to enter my GIVEAWAY for over $100 in Free Baby / Little Girl Accessories Click Here to go to that post and enter.

Now onto Food Friday where I love to feature awesome food find that are always easy to prepare and at least "somewhat" healthy.

When I saw these Frozen Reese's Bananas on RealSimple I had to try them immediately and I was not disappointed.  It's so easy:
1)Cut banana in half and freeze  2)Chop up some Reese's and freeze them too 3)then take the banana out of freezer and dip it in melted chocolate (I used some cheap baker's chocolate) and then immediately cover in the chopped up frozen Reese's  4) Set out on parchment until the chocolate has gotten firm

This week I also found this Rolled Egg & Spinach Omlet on Martha Stewart's website.  It looks super healthy, delicious and simple enough to make.  I will certainly be trying it soon.  Click Here to get the recipe.

Last, I can't resist sharing this pic of my mom's 6 months old Boxer - his name is Harley.

As my Mom said when she posted this pic on Facebook, "Harley spent the day at the Vet's office & he is now pouting because he will never be a Father."  Harley is a good dog, as are most Boxers.  We had two when I was in high school and they were both really lovable, goofy dogs.

Coming up over the next few days: Pics of my house decorated for Valentine's Day & Super Simple, Cheap & Adorable Handmade Valentine's Day Cards

Craft / Scrapbooking Organization

My mom has recently converted my sister's old bedroom into a scrapbooking space and she had some genuis organization display ideas I wanted to share....

Hang tools in a clear shoe hanging bag - they're organizaed and put away but you can see them!

Hang ribbon on clips on clothes hangers.  Again it's put away and organized but displayed where you can see what you have!

And on another note, I wanted to share this awesome jewelry display/organization idea I saw on Pinterest.  The original source wasn't cited so I don't know where this came from.

I love the idea of using old wooden spools for hanging knobs!  Also love the light turquoise color.

Check back at the first of February - I am going to have an amazing giveaway of over $100 worth of merchandise from my product line "Inspired By Felicity".

Dollar Store Home Decor Find!

I am all about bargain shopping so when I found this beautiful clock at my local "Dollar General" for $20 I was pretty excited and had to show it off.  Here it is in my living room:
The picture frame is an unfunished wood frame I got at walmart, painted white, then sanded to give it a shabby look and then used Mod Podge to seal some fabric onto it.  The 2 bottles actually came from a 6-pack of beer my husband had!

My Mom got the same $20 clock from the dollar store that I did and she put it in her dinning room and it looks great..
