My Home ready for Spring & Easter

Spring is in full bloom at my house.  Normally I don't do much for Easter decorating but Felicity is having an Easter Tea Party this year so I've been more motivated to get the house "Springed Up".
We have tons of these pretty wildflowers around our yard and I've enjoyed bringing in a new batch every few days.  Felicity loves to help pick them!

My husband was mowing last weekend and I was outside running around in front of the lawnmower picking all of them I could before he cut them down.

I also have been putting some in my little glass cup with some clippings from the holly bush outside.

I've been making some pom balls from coffee filters for her party and have put them around the house on display.  I'll hang them from the ceiling above the table for her party.  To see how to make them Click Here.

Also hung one above the bathroom mirror.  It goes well with my bathroom colors.

We also made a topiary out of coffee filters.  Click Here to see how to do this.

Made a simple little Easter wreath too and of course I had to include some more coffee filters!  Click Here to see my post on this.

I got to pull out my pretty spring plate on the right now that I've cleared the Fall/Winter decorations off this shelf.  I got that little plate a Goodwill at couple years ago for .75 and love it.  Also got the little turquoise vase at Goodwill for less than .75

Changed out my table centerpiece to do something a little more Springish with the moss and lace, etc.

Put some glittered Easter eggs and Spring colored coffee filter flowers in my birdcage I just refinished (I'll have a post on that soon).

Also set up a little Easter vignette on the side desk in my dinning room.

This pretty Easter subway art is from "I Should Be Mopping the Floor".  She has a great blog, and I would definitely recommend checking her out.

Also wanted to share a couple pics from my yard...

I love it when everything starts blooming and there are beautiful colors everywhere!

The winner of my giveaway was GGMIX!  I put names of all the entries in a box and let Felicity draw out and this was the one she picked up.  Please send me your mailing info so I can get your goodies shipped - I have sent you a message through Facebook as well.

My Latest Easter Vignette

It's Saturday so I'm supposed to be doing a "Saturday Home Showcase" but I'm behind on getting my Easter/Spring projects posted so I'm showing this Easter project instead....

We were in the dollar store last week and Felicity saw these pretty glittered Easter eggs - she picked up the package and threw it straight into the cart!  They were only $1 so we got them and this is what we ended up doing with them when we got home.
I put the eggs on this pretty retro dish that was my great-grandmother's with some flowers I made from coffee filters and a couple candlesticks from goodwill and I am in love with how simple and cute it is.

To see how I dyed the coffee filters and made these easy flowers Click Here.
For the bunny picture I used a bunny silhouette leftover from last year to trace out my bunny image on scrapbook paper, which I then cut out and taped onto tan colored cardstock and put in the frame.  The pears and the turquoise vase on the right were also thrift store finds I got a little while back.

You can google "bunny silhouette" to find lots of images you can print and use as a template.  Here is one image that would work well... click it to go to the source and print it:

{ Food Friday } Salt & Vinegar Roasted Chick Peas

I recently posted about my favorite snack, Roasted Chick peas.  Well, I also make another version of them that someone told about a while back that I love and wanted to share, It's Salt & Vinegar Chick peas.  These things taste like Salt & Vinegar chips and have a satisfying crunch - once you start eating these you won't be able to stop!
1) Drain a can of Garbanzo Bean/Chickpeas and put them into a pot
2) Cover with Vinegar and bring it to a boil -  Let boil for about 1 minute, then turn off heat and let them sit for 40 minutes
4) Drain the Chickpeas & put them into a roasting dish or baking sheet
5) Toss with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
6) Put in the oven at 425 degrees for about 40 minutes (depending on your oven they may finish quicker)

You will not believe the delicious salt & vinegar taste!  You will probably eat them all at once, but if you don't, just put the leftovers in a ziplock bag and save for later.

On another note - you can still use DISCOUNT CODE "Postcard2012"" to receive 25% OFF on any order from my boutique: www.InspiredByFelicity.com
