{Food Friday} Roasted Chickpeas

Roasted chickpeas / garbanzo beans have been one of my favorite healthy snack since I was in college, they are a great snack alone or you can throw them in a salad.  Earlier this week when I was fixing some up I took some pictures to share how to make them.

1) Drain a can of chickpeas and pat dry

2) Throw them on a cookie sheet or pie plate & toss with olive oil and season however you want.  I usually do paprika and sea salt.

3) Cook in the oven at 425 degrees for about 40 minutes.

That's it!  They are awesome - Whatever you don't eat immediately you can just keep in a ziplock bag.  When we go shopping I usually take some with us for Felicity and I to snack on.  They are super healthy and high in protein so I 'm  trilled that she will eat them.

Last but not least, for my blogger friends, I would love to invite you to my "Get Inspired" Monday blog hop!
(The Linky opens up on Sunday)

    1. Yes, if you cook them the full time they will be crunchy. On his batch I took them out a bit early because Felicity doesn't like them as much when they are really crunchy, she prefers them to still be a bit soft.

    1. Felicity like to eat them like that also, some days when I don't have time to cook a good lunch I will just give her some straight out of the can with some black olives and she eats them up!
